An energetic, high-performing leader, Robert is deeply committed to building stakeholder relationships and advancing economic growth of communities. His passion for building organizational capacity, elevating growth and forging collaborations through event entertainment is palpable from the moment you meet him. Robert’s dedication to collective excellence is founded on his personal mission: work hard, laugh, think creatively, find solutions, eat well, and challenge each other to achieve beyond what is thought possible. Employing creative, can-do thought processes, he delivers success as he innovates efficiencies, controls expenses and disrupts self-limiting processes. Robert’s talent for orchestrating events, marketing, ticketing, F&B, facilities and operational staff to create smooth operational flow is a powerful force. His staff work hard, but find joy in the strong teams he creates. A University of Puget Sound graduate, he holds IAVM Venue Management training and graduate study of the music industry at University of Liverpool. Robert has spent 20+ years at the forefront of entertainment bringing talent to communities, civic centers and universities.
Robert’s lifelong appreciation for education and diversity is distinctive– he is the great-grandson of a university physician who has a residence hall named after him; the grand-nephew of the founder of a woman’s college in China; the grandson of the founder of Trimble Navigation/The Trimble Foundation; and the son of retired state senator. He understands the role of education and entertainment on campus and in communities. Robert’s own career began as a student entertainment director for the University of Puget Sound and intern for Tom Moffat Productions, the company that brought live-entertainment to Hawaii, including Elvis Presley, Jimmy Buffet, Chicago, Elton John, The Beatles, the Beach Boys, Michael Jackson, and more!
After college, Robert’s career continued at the Toyota Center in Washington, the DeSoto Civic Center in Mississippi, with Swedish Aloha Music Management in Stockholm and presently with MetraPark, the largest entertainment venue in a 5-state region. Robert has coordinated country western and rock concerts; Disney family shows; President George W. Bush’s high-security political rally; PBR, WHL and NBA sports events; business meetings, conferences, trade shows and Montana fairs. Whether welcoming 30 or 300,000 patrons, Robert offers weathered experience and solid expertise in the delivery of memorable events.
